Le ferrovie francesi hanno cambiato la divisa dei controllori. Prima sembravano uomini normali, adesso sembrano caricature degli emigrati siciliani in Svizzera negli anni '50. Non ho ancora visto le uniformi delle donne.

A Parigi inaugurano due fiere d'arte, ShowOff ieri e la Fiac oggi. Riesco a vedere qualcosa di interessante ma è soprattutto un tour de force, mi spingono e li spingo per passare, esco quasi disperata. Dovrei tornare, ma quando? Ho altri appuntamenti di lavoro, in questi tre giorni.
Mi restano in mente una scultura, un libro, due o tre video che sceglierei per quella rassegna di Shanghai che mi avevano proposto di curare, e che è sparita nelle nebbie milanesi.

Two art fairs are opening in Paris, ShowOff yesterday and Fiac today. I manage to see something good but it's very stressing, I'm pushed and I push to pass, go out almost desperate. I should go back, but when? I have many other things to do, in the next few days.

an epidemy - un'epidemia

More than 3000 spam messages in three hours?!? Is it war, or an epidemy? And they're all answers to messages I didn't send, so I suppose I should call it spoofing. Just erasing it all takes me half an hour, I can't risk to lose important messages, I work with the net. And now the second wave is coming.

Più di 3000 messaggi spam in tre ore?!? E' la guerra, o un'epidemia? E sono tutte risposte a messaggi che non ho mai spedito, quindi suppongo che dovrei chiamarlo spoofing. Solo per cancellare ci metto mezz'ora, non posso rischiare di eliminare messaggi importanti, io ci lavoro, con il web. E l'ondata successiva arriva subito dopo.

gargantua

Presento Gargantua, video di 6 minuti e documentario, ai ragazzi e ai professori che hanno lavorato con me l'anno scorso. Sono tentata di fare qualcosa di nuovo con loro quest'anno, ma ci sto ancora pensando.
E' emozionante vederli che si guardano e sentire i loro commenti, la cosa che notano per prima è quanto sono cresciuti nel frattempo.
Fra poco più di un mese avremo la proiezione ufficiale, con le autorità e le famiglie, stanno già preparando l'invito. Intanto mi chiedono se andremo al festival di Cannes.

I present Gargantua, the video and the documentary, to the pupils and teachers who worked with me last year. I'd like to do something new with them this year, but I don't know yet.
