Ho passato la selezione ma non ho vinto premi a Oneminute Film Festival, Aarau, Svizzera. IHo partecipato perché mi entusiasmavano i film vincitori degli anni scorsi, quelli del 2008 mi sembrano meno belli. C'è meno varietà.

Il concerto in piazza non mi interessa, attraverso il ponte e vado verso il porto. Da questo lato del golfo, gli amplificatori prendono le voci delle ragazze che pubblicizzano gli sponsor locali e creano una sonorizzazione fuori sincrono, che rimbalza sull'acqua. Indescrivibile.

The open air concert isn't interesting and I go across the bridge to the port. This side of the harbor, the amplifiers take the voices of some girls advertising the local sponsors and create an off-synch sound, reflecting and jumping on the water. Incredible.

Milano in agosto è una città così assurda e deserta che per mandare un fax devo comprarmi una macchina, telefono+fax, 130 euro invece che 3. La gente c'è, lavora nei grandi magazzini, in ospedale, al supermercato, in banca, ma i negozianti sono partiti tutti lo stesso giorno, per le stesse tre settimane.
Idem per bere un caffè: o mi compro la macchinetta, o lo bevo solubile. Qualche bar aperto c'è, la domenica, ma solo in centro: bisogna prendere il tram per andarci. I poverii turisti disperati si abbeverano lì.
C'era anche una notizia positiva, ma si è sciolta nel caldo, l'ho dimenticata.

Milan in August is so empty that to send a fax I must buy a telefax machine, 130 euros instead of 3. People live here, work in many places, banks, supermarkets, hospitals, department stores, but all the shopkeepers have left the same day, for the same three weeks.
Same problem with a cup of coffee: either I buy a coffee machine, or I drink instant. There's some bar open in town, even on a Sunday, but I need to go there by bus, they are all around the Duomo. The desperate tourists water there.
I also had something good to say, but it melted in the heat, I forgot it.
Cominciano le Olimpiadi e le sento anche con le finestre chiuse. Qual è la differenza di fuso orario fra qui e Pechino? Dormiremo, o dovremo ascoltare le telecronache fino al mattino?

The Olympic games begin and I can hear them even with my windows closed. How far is Beijing from here? Shall I be able to sleep or will I be hearing the tv reports all night long?
I bought my computer four short jelly legs, they look like cherry candies. I prefer other flavors, but these are red, the color I like best. And they're not to be eaten, more's the pity.
