Lettor mio, si diceva due secoli fa. Ti ricorderai la mia odissea del doppio nome e del codice fiscale, e che questi non hanno nemmeno letto le mie lettere, come ampiamente dimostrato dalle loro, che danno una risposta generica e affermano il loro diritto di fare quello che vogliono con i nomi dei cittadini invece di chiedermi scusa per l'errore.
Eccomi a Milano, e non è ancora finita. C'era da immaginarselo. Ricevo un'informazione dell'asl, che ha finalmente adottato il mio nome sbagliato, e scrive alla donna che non esiste più, dopo due mesi che il comune la regione il fisco e l'asl avevano accettato di correggere il loro errore nei miei riguardi. Bravissimi. Efficientissimi. Soprattutto se penso che quando ho chiesto di cambiare nome mi hanno avvertita che non potevo tornare indietro, e lo ribadiscono in ogni lettera di risposta sbagliata, chiamandomi con un nome morto e sepolto, che io non devo usare. Buffoni.
Solo i burocrati possono credere che le loro fissazioni riescano a tener dietro alla vita, o peggio a governarla. E se ci si mette di mezzo la burocraticità e la fede nell'informatica, il disastro è totale.

Nell'ambito di un progetto video sull'alimentazione, seguo una conferenza. Gli scienziati dicono che se hai più del 30% di massa grassa sei obeso. Il maggior numero di persone sovrappeso si trova negli USA, seguiti da vicino da Messico e Inghilterra. Sono dati del 2007, qualche anno fa le percentuali erano più basse: adesso nel mondo i troppo nutriti sono più numerosi dei denutriti.
I paesi più snelli sono la Corea e il Giappone, circa il 7% di persone sovrappeso. Francia circa 19%, Italia circa 21%.

Working on a video project about food, I go to a lecture. Scientists say that if you have more than 30% of fat you're obese. The higher percentage of fat people is in the US, followed by Mexico and UK. The data are recent,2007, and show an increase of the number of fat people in the world: now they're way more than the undernourished.
The slimmest countries are Corea and Japan, about 7% of fat people. France is around 19%, Italy 21%.

In una sceneggiatura italiana o francese, questi differenti livelli della personalità e del comportamento non sono quasi mai presi in considerazione.

I'm reading an intro to contemporary art, "Lo potevo fare anch'io": Francesco Bonami doesn't put any woman's name into it. Not true: he quotes Maris Merz and gives her six words in the Arte Povera movement. But which works of hers does he speak of? Crocheted ballerina shoes (albeit copper-threaded)...

Due dei migliori film in circolazione sono tratti da libri autobiografici molto drammatici, che finiscono entrambi con la morte del protagonista: Into the Wild e Lo scafandro e la farfalla. I registi, Sean Penn e Julian Schnabel, hanno fatto due bellissimi lavori. Se uno volesse fare un film così partendo da zero non ci riuscirebbe.
Una bella sceneggiatura, e ce ne sono, è fatta in modo totalmente diverso da una storia autobiografica così tragica e unica come le due raccontate in questi film. Nemmeno un bel romanzo può avere quella drammaticità vera. Ecco una delle ragioni perché i film d'autore scritti, interpretati e diretti da una persona sola sono spesso più deboli, meno ricchi del lavoro che esce da un gruppo.
p.s.: La sindrome locked-in da cui era stato colpito Jean-Dominique Bauby e di cui si parla nel film di Schnabel è rappresentata anche nel Conte di Montecristo, di Dumas.

Two of the best movies now in cinemas are teaken from two very dramatic, autobiographic books, both ending with the death of the protagonist: Into the Wild and Le scaphandre et le papillon. The directors, Sean Penn and Julian Schnabel, made two wonderful films. Nobody could make a film like one of those starting from scratch.
A good script, and there are many, is made in a totally different way from an autobiographical story, as tragic and unique as the two narrated in the films. Not even a good novel can have that same real dramatic force. That's one of the reasons why the films written, directed and interpreted by the same author/artist are often less strong and rich than the works coming out of a team.
p.s.: The locked-in syndrome affecting Jean-Dominique Bauby and which is the story of Schnabel's film is also represented in Dumas's Count of Monte-Cristo.
