Who still can think reality can be found instead in photographs, in videos, in films? In tv? In real life?
I wanted make a video exactly on this unreality. But August is such a dead month I cannot go anywhere, do anything.

Volevo giusto farci un video, su questa irrealtà. Ma agosto è un mese così morto che non riesco a fare niente.

Qualche anno fa Sophie Calle, un'artista francese che mi piace molto, ha girato un film: il diario del suo viaggio attraverso l'America con un amico di cui cercava di essere l'amante e che alla fine ha sposato. Fino a quel momento, ogni giorno lasciando la stanza d'albergo e ripartendo in auto per la tappa successiva la sua voce diceva No sex last night.
Fotografo le stanze d'albergo dove dormo: in tutte la coperta ha lo stesso banale colore nocciola.

Some years ago Sophie Calle, a French artist I lke very much, shot a film: the diary of her journey through America, with a friend she wanted to make her lover and finally married. Up to that moment, every day in leaving their hotel room and starting the car for the next place her voice said No sex last night.
I take pictures of every hotel room I sleep in: all of them have wool blankets the same dull hazelnut color.
