Al Salone del Mobile vedo ben poco, e ben poco mi pare nuovo e interessante, ma le ricerche avanzate dei giapponesi sono affascinanti. Forse quella che mi emoziona di più è la stoffa "molto idrorepellente". Per farla capire, inventano una specie di fontana di gocce cicciottelle, o forse grandi lacrime, che scorrono su un telo nero.
Da tempo vorrei creare una fontana, e questa è una di quelle che avrei voluto inventare io (un'altra è un'idea di Louise Bourgeois, una fontana dove l'acqua non si vede, ma si ascolta gocciolare).

I don't see nor care much for many of the things shown at the Salone del Mobile, I mean the furniture fair, but the Japanese advanced research are absolutely interesting. The one I like best is a "very hydro-repellent" fabric. To help us understand how it works, they invented a sort of fountain of fat drops, or maybe big tears, running on a black surface.
I've been wanting to create a fountain for quite a while, and this one is something I regret not to have thought myself (another one is a project by Louise Bourgeois, a fountain where you don't see the water, but can hear it flowing).
