Being an artist, when I need to work on a subject, I do. And I launched my video project about Gargantua and filmed the students and the lectures for a year and are currently mixing the documentary, as I would with a painting, a novel, a poem or a series of photos. At first I looked for financing but didn't find any, and couldn't stop for so little. Now I'm looking for producers and/or publishers. I need my work to be seen. But then yesterday I at last met a producer, and he tells me the footage I shot is going to be considered archive footage, not to be used.
Since it's a chronicle of what I did, not to be repeated, it's impossible or at least ridiculous to throw it all away and start again. Exit the hope to find a producer? Let's try again with others, and with publishers, maybe festivals. Options are less and less, that's very frustrating.

Essendo un'artista, quando ho bisogno di lavorare su un tema lo faccio. E ho lanciato il mio progetto di un video su Gargantua e filmato gli studenti e le lezioni per un anno e adesso sto montando il documentario, come farei con un quadro, un romanzo, un poema o una serie di foto. All'inizio ho cercato finanziamenti ma non li ho trovati e comunque non potevo fermarmi per così poco. Adesso sto cercando produttori e/o editori/distributori. Ho bisogno che il mio lavoro venga visto. Ma ieri finalmente sono riuscita a incontrare un produttore, e mi dice che tutto il girato sarebbe considerato come archivio, e non utilizzato.
Dato che è una irripetibile cronaca del lavoro, è impossibile o almeno ridicolo buttare via tutto e ricominciare. Crolla la speranza di trovare un produttore? Devo provare con altri? Tenterò con editori e festival. Le possibilità si riducono, è molto frustrante.
