Non è un brutto posto, quando non piove, Sirmione. Ma è pervaso dall'odore di zolfo delle sorgenti e soprattutto dalle radio accese a pieno volume ovunque: in autobus, nei bar, nello studio del massaggiatore e negli alberghi. Non esiste il silenzio, qui, almeno non negli spazi pubblici.

It's not a bad place to stay, when it's not raining, Sirmione. But it's filled with the sulphur smell of thermal waters and with the sounds coming from radios going full blast everywhere: in buses, bars, in the massager's room, hotels. There's no silence here, at least not in public places.
