From New Zealand, Luke just invited me to a recipe exchange, at last someone understands me! In fact he should, better than others, because he was the one who started my doing art around food.
He invited me in 2002 to do some net-art for a gallery he curated, and I wanted something Italian but not touristic, and a series of phonetic pictures and a video were born. (See La cucina italiana in my website if you're interested, www.carladellabeffa.com)
And I still go on, with photos and videos and performances concerning food in some way or other.
Actually I've been seriously studying the topic for many years, it didn't happen by chance, for me it's not some sort of fashionable fad.

Dalla Nuova Zelanda, Luke mi invita a uno scambio di ricette, finalmente qualcuno che mi capisce! In effetti lui dovrebbe capirmi megli di altri, visto che è per causa sua che ho iniziato a fare arte intorno al cibo.

Be', in fondo avevo studiato e approfondito l'argomento per anni, non è capitato per caso, per me non è una specie di passione alla moda.
