At the Musée du Quai Branly, in Paris, apart from some works of arresting beauty, what I liked best were the building itself and the green wall, respectively by Jean Nouvel and Patrick Blanc.
I think that some teenagers friends of mine should visit it. One because he's into decoration with a meaning, and these ritual objects do the same. The others because many of these sculptures double as musical instruments. But then any ethnological museum could give them food for this kind of thoughts.
And maybe they'd enjoy best the Rock'n Roll show at Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain. I adored it.

Al Musée du Quai Branly, a Parigi, a parte qualche opera stupenda, quello che mi è piaciuto sono soprattutto l'architettura e il muro verde, rispettivamente di Jean Nouvel e Patrick Blanc.
Penso che qualche mio amico adolescente dovrebbero visitarlo. Uno perché gli interessa la decorazione che ha un senso, e questi oggetti rituali fanno lo stesso. Gli altri perché molte di queste sculture sono in realtà strumenti musicali.
Ma in fondo qualunque museo etnologico potrebbe suggerire le stesse idee.
E forse preferirebbero la mostra Rock'n Roll alla Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain. A me è piaciuta moltissimo.
