Un altro dei progetti di Cristina Viti è di tradurre in inglese Il mondo salvato dai ragazzini, di Elsa Morante. Ci lavora da tempo e ne ha già pubblicato una parte a Oxford, ma per finire l'opera deve trovare un editore e ottenere i diritti sull'altra parte.
Già che ci siamo, cerca notizie su Bill Morrow, il pittore americano la cui morte prematura ha ispirato il testo della Morante, che era sua amica. A Cristina piacerebbe farne mostre, con readings dal libro, e pensa a spazi londinesi dedicati all'arte e attenti alla cultura.
Chissà perché stavolta la parola cultura mi respinge. Forse sono un po' stanca delle élites.

Another of Cristina Viti's projects is the translation in English of Il mondo salvato dai ragazzini (meaning more or less "the world saved by children"), by Elsa Morante. She's ben working on it for a while and already has published a part of it in Oxford, but to complete her work she needs both a publisher and to obtain the rights of the other part.
While we're at it, she's looking for informations about Bill Morrow, the American painter whose untimely death inspired his friend Morante's text. Cristina would like to make a show with readings from the book, and is thinking about London spaces showing art and diffusing culture.
I don't know why, but the world culture today sounds unpleasant. Perhaps I'm a bit tired of elites.
