A dimostrazione del fatto che le idee sono nell’aria, e che tutto sta nel prenderle al volo, arrivare per primi, perché poi le hanno tutti, parliamo dei labirinti.
Nell’ultimo anno ne ho visti almeno tre costruiti come installazioni di specchi o di luci al centro di un museo (tipo quello di Doug Aitken al Couvent des Cordeliers a Parigi), uno tessuto in un tappeto (bella idea, peccato che fosse di una misura insufficiente a fare l'esperienza del trovare la strada) e qualche altro meno interessante. Non parlo naturalmente dei labirinti antichi o di quelli di siepi nei giardini, ma solo dei labirinti di artisti contemporanei.
Chissà se è perché in certi periodi la vita sembra sempre più difficile.

As proof of the fact that ideas are around, and you have to pick them fast, before everyone else does, let’s talk about labyrinths.
In the last twelve months I’ve seen at least three of them, built with mirrors or lights as installations in the middle of museums (see Doug Aitken’s one at Couvent des Cordeliers in Paris), one woven into a carpet (nice idea, but it was too small to try to walk and find one's way through it) and some less significant ones. I’m not talking about ancient mazes or the ones made with hedges in gardens, but just about contemporary artists’s mazes.
Perhaps it’s because there are times when life seems to be getting harder.
