Milioni di persone hanno cantato "L'Internazionale" e nessuno ha mai chiesto di essere pagato. E questo film ha avuto 203 spettatori in tutta Parigi.
Non è la prima volta che le richieste di questo tipo sono eccessive, specialmente in Francia. Come se gli artisti non si ispirassero alla vita e alle opere di altri. Io stessa ho letto parecchi articoli e perfino scritto su questo. Anche perché ler mie idee partono spesso da testi altrui. Ma siamo in tanti a lavorare così.
Se re Salomone vedesse o ascoltasse tutte le opere ispirate dall'Ecclesiaste, probabilmente sarebbe ancora più ricco di quanto era ai tempi d'oro. Per non parlare di Shakespeare: da quando mi sono messa a studiarlo seriamente noto che in ogni città ci sono almeno due lavori teatrali basati sui suoi classici, senza contare i film.

For seven seconds actor-director Pierre Merejkowsky whistles "L'Internationale" in one of his films. He's been asked to pay for rights, writes Nicole Vulser of Le Monde. Many million people have been singing that song around the world, and nobody asked to be paid. And this film has had 203 spectators in all of Paris.
It's not the first time that those requests are excessive, especially in France. As if artists didn't get inspiration from life and other people works. If king Salomon read or listened to all of the oeuvres ispired by the Ecclesiastes, he'd probably be even richer than he used to be.
