Ci sono progetti che preparo per mesi, per anni, e progetti che derivano per caso da altri lavori. Come un'ecologia delle idee, un'economia delle immagini. Pensavo che fosse un lato tipicamente femminile del mio lavoro, come cucinare qualcosa di buono con gli avanzi. Ma tanti lavorano così, per esempio Derek Jarman: senza mai buttare via una vecchia ripresa, un'immagine, un suono.

There are projects I work on for months, for years, and projects that arrive by chance out from other works. It's a sort of ecology of ideas, an economy of the images. I used to think that side of my work is typically feminine, like making good food using leftovers. But many artist work that way, like Derek Jarman: not throwing away even one frame, an image, a sound.
