arte e guerra - art and war

Credo che come persone anche gli artisti abbiano il dovere di esprimere un'opinione contro la guerra, per esempio, ma dubito dell'efficacia dell'arte di protesta. Ricevo spesso inviti a esprimermi su temi come la violenza e le torture, ma un proclama non è un'opera d'arte, e forse è meno efficace di una petizione. E invece forse funziona ancora meglio. Allora perché non mi ispira?

I believe people and also artists should speak against war, for instance, but I doubt of "protest art". I often am ivited to express myself on socila themes like violence and tortures, but is an artwork like that as useful as the signatures on a petition? Maybe even more. So why I'm not inspired by it?
