Pierre Restany will be remembered as the founder of the group of Nouveaux Réalistes in Milan and Paris in 1960. His writings, in the words of Jean-Jacques Aillagon, "are the expression of an extraordinary lucidity of mind in such themes as aesthetics and philosophy." He closes a great period of contemporaneity, since the Nouveaux Réalistes were ahead of time in certain themes that we will find in Conceptual art, Fluxus and many other currents of the second part of the XX century. Pierre Restany sarà ricordato come il fondatore del gruppo dei Nouveaux
Réalistes a Milano e a Parigi nel 1960. I suoi scritti, nelle parole di Jean-Jacques Aillagon, "sono l'espressione di una straordinaria lucidità mentale in temi come estetica e filosofia." Egli chiude un grande periodo della contemporaneità, dato che i Nouveaux Réalistes erano in anticipo sui tempi per alcuni temi che troveremo poi nell'arte concettuale, Fluxus e molte altre correnti della seconda parte del XX secolo
