stream of consciousness - pensieri alla rinfusa
A comment on Facebook, by someone comparing female birds and their liveries (which apparently change when they are "with egg") to women skirts, makes me think of the title of a very successful Parisian comedy some years ago: Port de jupe obligatoire = Must wear skirts. (More or less like Employees must wash hands). By the way, washing hands too often is apparently very unhealthy. But then, how often is "too often"?
As I told more than once: what you do is ok, you'll always find someone prescribing it. And plenty others forbidding it, of course. Feel free!

Warm Up Serenade
I thought of Warm Up Serenade because warming up exercises are very boring. In fact, I usually spend that time singing outside and walking. Which makes it harder to stay still when I sing for real... And at the gym, I always try to go fast through the warm up phase.
Also, all my Serenades are planned to interact with a noisy place, and I always hope to have some great interruption or unexpected noise to make them funnier. I rehearse for months, but I'm especially interested in the final result, which I can't control.

New High Rise Serenade #1, featuring Il padrone del mondo, a song by Italo Calvino (lyrics) and Sergio Liberovici (music).
Performed for and at the Tour Eiffel, Paris, on March 11th, 2012.
The refrain says "I am the master of the world, and I know how to turn off the moon and give new fire to the sun. I can read the stars, and there's written lalalala".
The idea is to sing the same piece in other High Rise places.
